the beauty of used.

Oh, hello there!
I haven't posted in awhile, but I plan on changing that, starting now! (because vintage love is all around!).

***

I really have such a love for items that had a prior life and find myself surrounding myself with less "new" and more "used". It just makes me happy.

I thought I would share my newest obsession.
Well, I'm not really obsessed, but I sure do appreciate prior generations attention to detail and intentional strides towards keeping things classy.
Even pajamas!

I don't love wearing sweats or big t-shirts to bed (or ever), but I still want to be super comfortable without looking like a big frump. It's too easy to fall into the pit of frumpy despair!

So, I've been looking for (and finding) pretty pajamas, from yester-year! Mainly from the 1950's and 1960's. They're bright, lovely and soft. Pretty, comfortable, functional and CHEAP. I got both of these for less than $7.00! The second I put them on, Sean was like, "Those are awesome! Classy lady!"
AND...one of them even has crystals on it! Love!

Hit up your local thrift store, wash/wash/wash and enjoy!

  4. OH I am WITH you on this one!! Forgot about my love for vintage sleepwear. In high school, I wore one vintage nightgown to shreds. I still have it, and pulled it out the other night to wear, and Jason vetoed it. Need something new!! Those are lovely! And of course he called you classy lady.

  5. I have a set from my Grandma from the 60s. Teal and oh so soft! I remember her wearing them when I was a little girl and now I get to remember her when I wear them. (PJs now days wouldn't last this long!)
